4 Fab Cat Nonprofits to Support on International Cat Day

The EveryAction Team

Cat lovers, rejoice! It's International Cat Day, and if you're anything like us, you know one (or more) kitties that bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of cat-itude to your life.

To mark this year's celebration, here are four of our favorite feline-focused nonprofits to follow and fund!

Kitten Lady

www.kittenlady.org

Kitten Lady, a rescue and advocacy program from Photographers for Animals, is headed by lady boss Hannah Shaw. Her mission? To change the world for neonatal kittens.

DYK? Photographers for Animals is featured on the 100 Best Nonprofit Websites of 2016 list.

Alley Cat Allies

www.alleycat.org

Alley Cat Allies is a one-stop-shop for national advocacy, education, and life-saving support for all cats. Be sure to follow them for information about National Feral Cat Day coming up in October!

Best Friends Animals Society

www.bestfriends.org

Besides the huge list of cat initiatives aimed at educating the public on TNR (trap-neuter-release), building a strong cat community network, and promoting its #SaveThemAll campaign, Best Friends also runs what can only be described as a magical animal sanctuary in Utah, complete with Dogtown, Horse Haven, Marshall's Piggy Paradise, and of course, Cat World.

Alley Cat Rescue

www.saveacat.org

Alley Cat Rescue works to improve the lives of stray and outdoor cat communities around the world. In addition to being champions for TNR and promoting a better understanding of feline diseases, ACR also offers critical community resources like its "cheap fix" cat clinic that help keep cats out of shelters.
