Best Halloween costumes ever? We dressed up as our favorite nonprofits.

Devon Hopkins

You have just a few hours before your end-of-the-day office costume contest and evening Halloween festivities, but have no idea what to be. Well, we have your back.

For the ultimate procrastinator, we've got 6 nonprofit costume ideas that you can do with (almost) no planning at all.

1. HRC

EveryAction supports HRC's vision of a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community. Many of our staff have actively campaign for marriage equality and we love everyone at HRC. This one is easy! Wear your favorite blue shirt and make two lines with yellow post-its or yellow tape if you happen to have it on hand. For bonus points, wear a red shirt, with lighter red stripes underneath and make a costume change mid-evening.

2. Doctors without Borders

Doctors Without Borders are on the frontlines of managing the Ebola crisis in Africa. Rather than being a tasteless, insensitive "sexy ebola," let's show some love to the incredible men and women who are putting their lives in danger to provide health services to the people who need it most. All you have to do for this costume is find some scrubs (everyone knows a doctor, right?) and print out/find a topographical map to carry with you.

3. World Wildlife Fund

The World Wildlife Fund has invested more than $11.5 billion in over 13,000 different nature conservancy projects. We're big nature freaks here at EveryAction and huge fans of their work. And who doesn't love pandas? If you don't have a panda costume, you can simply wear white and black clothes, put heavy black eyeshadow around your eyes, and call it a day!

4. National Public Radio (NPR)

National Public Radio (NPR) is playing somewhere in our office around the clock. Rock it out like this kid and put on your best Ira Glass impression. All you need are supremely hipster glasses and a suit. Or, don your fiercest blazer, make yourself a Pink Martini, and repeat the line, "Reporting from London, this is Ari Shapiro."

5. PBS

PBS continues to produce some of the highest quality educational and entertaining content on TV today. From Cosmos to Mind of a Chef to Sesame Street to Downton Abbey, their incredible work appeals to people of all ages. Everyone can relate to Oscar the Grouch on some days. Make a duct tape trash can hat and stuff newspaper into your pants. Or, walk around with a real trash can and yell at the kids that annoy you.

6. Humane Society

We're big animal lovers here at EveryAction. We even have a pet friendly office! For the past 60 years, the Humane Society has led the fight to provide a future for all animals. Grab all of the stuffed animals you have lying around and show off your love for your pets!
